Really nice place. Pizza choice was great. Simple menu. Our appetizer octopus looked nothing like pictures we had seen. Didn't even have the sucker buttons on. it was very overcooked too. Wings were good. And pizza. My martini drink didn't have graham Cracker as advertised. Everyone was very nice and attentive.

My husband and I went to this restaurant for dinner earlier this week. We did not know what to expect. Well, we were pleasantly surprised.
The restaurant is big and the rustic decor is impressive. The bar area seemed to be very busy.We asked to be seated away from the bar because we preferred a quiet area, where we could have a conversation without yelling.
Instead of ordering entrees, we ordered only appetizers. It was a good idea.
The charred Spanish octopus with chickpeas and potatoes was cooked to perfection. It was very tender. My husband loved the grilled lamb chop lollipops. The cauliflower was good and
the prosciutto di Parma platter was abundant and nicely presented.
The desserts we ordered - olive oil cake and cheesecake - were very tasty.
Our server, Jacklyn, was excellent. She was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. We were not familiar with the menu and she answered our questions in a patient, polite manner.
We really liked this restaurant and plan to go there again as soon as we can.

The white sangria was exceptional. The chicken scarpariello had a little of everything and it was all delicious. The chocolate cake was very big and the olive oil with the balsamic sauce that came with the bread was amazing

Mercato Southbury is a wonderful spot for enjoying contemporary Italian cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The farm-to-table approach really shines through in their dishes, with fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients creating memorable meals. The craft cocktails from the full bar are also exceptional, adding a special touch to the dining experience.
The ambiance is truly top-notch; it feels both cozy and sophisticated, making it perfect for a night out. The food was delicious, and the weekly specials highlighted the best of seasonal ingredients.
My one critique was a misstep with our meal. We asked if there was parmesan cheese in the dish due to dietary restrictions, and we were told no, but there was parmesan after all. While disappointing, it didn’t take away from the overall quality of the experience.
Mercato Southbury is definitely worth a visit, especially if you appreciate thoughtful, chef-driven meals in a lovely setting.

Do not come here. Came a bit ago at Southbury location. Had a brunette w bangs and ponytail. Genuinely have never been so disrespected. Was giving me an extreme attitude. Only came to our table three times the whole experience so we didn’t even have a chance to make her dislike us. Food was decent but it’s not worth having someone have an attitude the whole time when you genuinely did nothing. Please do not come here because it is clear that the hiring crew doesn’t put in any effort. Had a few friends complain that they had the same experience from the same girl so something needs to be done.

I really hate to leave a bad review, but we had a disappointing experience here.
– When we first arrived, we were met with a bad attitude simply because we were a group of seven without a reservation. I understand that’s not ideal, but the reception was unnecessarily cold.
– Our server was unfriendly and had an overall unpleasant demeanor.
– We ordered a chocolate milk but were brought a lemonade instead. When we asked to have it corrected, they took back the lemonade but still charged us for it.
– While my 4-year-old was quietly coloring, another staff member came by and tossed his mini coloring book into the greasy bread bowl while delivering the meal— which felt careless and upsetting.
– I asked at least twice for a high chair for my 1-year-old, and it never came. We had to take turns holding her throughout the meal. It would’ve been nice if the server had noticed and offered one without needing to be asked repeatedly.
– My husband’s meal was both burnt and incorrect.
– We were also charged an extra $2 for a beer that was listed as $8 on the menu.
Unfortunately, this visit left a bad impression. We won’t be returning, and I’ll be sharing our experience with others

I ordered takeout tonight from this place. One order of chicken parm and one order of spaghetti and meatballs. When we opened up our containers we were highly disappointed. First off the “spaghetti and meatballs” is literally just 1 singular meatball in spaghetti. No cheese, no seasoning, and one meatball. The chicken parm crust was pealing right off the chicken rather than being stuck on. The sauce had no flavor and the pasta is watery. We both are extremely disappointed paying $57 for takeout for something that looks and tastes like it was made in a hospital cafeteria.

I was weary about this place because of the reviews, but thank god I went anyway. The atmosphere is so chic, The staff was friendly, and the food was devine. Such big portions at such a great price point! The drinks are some of the best I've had. We got the meat and cheese board to start, I got the short ribs, my fiance got the new york strip and I paired it with the sangria. Will absolutely be returning!

I’ve been to Mercato many times and have often had great meals there! On our most recent visit, we loved the Brussels and burrata, three little pigs pizza, and rigatoni alla vodka. My boyfriend has been really into salmon lately and said that this was one of the best salmon dishes he’s ever had! The portion sizes are perfect, and the vibe here is so nice. Great drink selection and friendly servers. One of my go-to restaurants near home!
